Cerebrospinal fluid microRNAs as diagnostic biomarkers in brain tumors

摘要: Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is a body that has many important functions and in direct contact with the extracellular environment of central nervous system (CNS). CSF serves as both communication channel allowing distribution various substances among CNS cells storage facility for waste products these release. For reasons, potential source diagnostic biomarkers diseases, including brain tumors. Recent studies have revealed also contains circulating microRNAs (miRNAs), short non-coding RNAs been described cancers. However, miRNAs are difficult to detect, which why researchers face major challenges, technological difficulties its detection lack standardization. Therefore, this review aims (i) highlight diagnostic, prognostic predictive tumors, (ii) summarize approaches miRNAs.
