摘要: An improved method is presented for determination of solidification curves, i.e., fraction solid vs temperature, commercial Mg alloys using heat-transfer model (HTM) differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) curves. A better evaluation the measured DSC heat flow signal attained through an independent measurement time constant as a function temperature applied equipment. further improvement achieved more impartial interpretation Both improvements enable desmearing and reduce error induced by operator. Challenging could be appropriately handled optimizing tantalum encapsulation. Highly reproducible DSC-HTM curves are determined seven AZ AM series. The results indicate potential this simple, fast, reliable even such very reactive with high vapor pressure.
