摘要: Four classes of CO 2 -based solvents are described, with their distinctive properties and applications. Supercritical , meaning above its critical temperature pressure, requires high pressure but is nontoxic, has excellent mass transfer rates easy to remove from products. Liquid many the same benefits at a lower although it particularly weak solvent. -expanded liquids organic into which large amount been dissolved under pressure; content modifies tunes liquid properties. Switchable can reversibly change whenever needed, so that they can, for example, dissolve some material then later release upon application trigger; atmospheric trigger choice.
