Teaching Modal Verbs: Task-based vs. traditional approaches

摘要: Task-based language teaching is considered an effective way to achieve a harmony between grammar and communication. The present study investigates two different ways of modal verbs: task-based versus traditional approaches. To this purpose, Oxford Placement Test was administered select 40 homogeneous participants out larger population who took test. selected were randomly divided into experimental control groups 20 students each. Those in the group attended English class six days week, practicing through tasked-based approach, while did not receive any work. OPT at end semester again see which could do verbs better. A final test verb tasks also if all learners have improved using same way/at amount teaching. results indicated that there statistically significant difference group, meaning approaches has been more than them ways. It revealed can much more, must less. may implication for particular learning general.
