摘要: Over the past few years, importance of Interleukin (IL)-17 and T helper (Th)17 cells in pathology Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) has become apparent. RA is a systemic autoimmune disease that affects up to 1% population worldwide. It characterized by an inflamed, hyperplastic synovium with pannus formation, leading bone cartilage destruction joints. By production effector cytokines like IL-17 IL-22, 17 subset protects host against bacterial fungal infections, but it can also promote development various diseases RA. Hence, Th17 pathway recently became very interesting target treatment. Up now, several therapies targeting or its have been tested, are currently under investigation. This review clarifies role pathogenesis RA, provides overview clinical trials using immunotherapy this particular two main which exert their function, IL-22.
