Some systematics of positron-vacancy interactions in metals

摘要: Experimental data describing the equilibrium temperature dependence of positron annihilation in Cu, Ag, Au, Zn, Cd, Al and Pb are considered terms simple trapping model. The results show that there is a correlation between temperature, Tv, associated with onset measurable at vacancies absolute melting, Tm, metal; Tv approximately 0.6Tm. may be shown to imply product specific rate positrons vacancies, mu , mean lifetime, tau characteristic bulk metal, similar for each these elements. Values then extracted from using vacancy concentrations based on present assessment parameters populations metals. It found values product, indeed similar, as indicated by Tv/Tm correlation. result can qualitatively understood theory positron-vacancy interactions which suggests changes tend cancelled opposite .
