摘要: Purpose. To investigate the effect of low tube voltage (80 kV) on image quality, radiation dose, and low-contrast detectability (LCD) at abdominal computed tomography (CT). Materials Methods. A phantom containing objects was scanned with a CT scanner 80 120 kV, current-time product settings 150–650 mAs. The differences between noise, contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR), scores LCD obtained 80 kV 150–650 mAs those 120 kV 300 mAs were compared respectively. Results. noise substantially increased voltage. However, identical use resulted in higher CNR 120 kV. There no statistically significant difference 550–650 mAs (𝑃>0.05). relative dose delivered ranged from 58% 550 mAs to 68% 650 mAs. Conclusion. With reduction CT, can be reduced by 32% 42% without degradation LCD.
