摘要: The aim of the present study was to investigate effect toluene inhalation on dopaminergic transmission in two distinct brain areas presumably involved mediating reward processes important for abuse. Extracellular dopamine (DA) levels were measured prefrontal cortex (PFC) and nucleus accumbens (NACC) freely moving rats using vivo microdialysis. Inhalation a behaviorally relevant concentration (3000 ppm) produced significant increase PFC but not NACC. However, odorant isoamyl acetate, increased DA by only 37%, significantly less than 96% observed following exposure. When combined with cocaine administration (20 mg/kg i.p.), response challenge different from alone PFC. combination these drugs supradditive 802% NACC, compared 450% alone. Recent reports indicate that influences function several ionotropic receptors subunit specific manner. As further evidence effects, our results regionally changes
