摘要: Neuroimaging has become an unparalleled tool to understand the central nervous system (CNS) anatomy, physiology and neurological diseases. While altered immune function microglia hyperactivation are common neuropathological features for many CNS disorders neurodegenerative diseases, direct assessment of role microglial cells remains a challenging task. Non-invasive neuroimaging techniques, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET) single computed (SPECT) widely used human clinical applications, variety ligands available detect neuroinflammation. In animal models, intravital been largely used, minimally invasive multiphoton microcopy (MPM) provides high resolution detection cells, longitudinally, in living brain. this study, we review vivo real-time MPM approaches assess preclinical studies, individual cell responses surveillance, support, protection restoration brain tissue integrity, synapse formation, homeostasis, as well different pathological situations. We focus on studies that mouse models Alzheimer's disease (AD), analyzing motility recruitment, anti-amyloid-β treatment, key therapeutic approach treat AD. Altogether, contrast spatial follow chronically complex supporting powerful deep imaging.
