摘要: Microglia, the innate immune cells of brain, are becoming increasingly recognized as an important player both in context physiological brain function and pathology. To fulfill their executive functions microglia can modify morphology, migrate or move processes a directed fashion, intracellular Ca2+ dynamics leading to modifications gene expression, phagocytosis, release cytokines other inflammation markers, etc. Here we describe recently developed tools enabling vivo monitoring morphology signaling show how these techniques may be used for examining microglial healthy diseased brain.
