Factors that predict financial sustainability of community coalitions: five years of findings from the PROSPER partnership project.

摘要: This study is a longitudinal investigation of the Promoting School-community-university Partnerships to Enhance Resilience (PROSPER) partnership model designed evaluate level sustainability funding by community prevention teams, including which factors impact teams’ generation sustainable funding. Community teams were responsible for choosing, implementing with quality, and sustaining evidence-based programs (EBPs) intended reduce substance misuse promote positive youth family development. Fourteen US rural communities small towns studied. Data collected from PROSPER team members (N = 164) coordinators (N = 10) over 5-year period. Global specific aspects functioning assessed six waves. Outcome measures total funds (cash in-kind) raised implement programs. All 14 sustained first 5 years. However, there was substantial variability in amount raised, these differences predicted earlier concurrent planning. Given sufficient infrastructure ongoing technical assistance provided model, local EBPs achievable.
