摘要: The treatment of frontal sinus fractures is still a matter research in neurosurgical and craniofacial surgery. present study aimed to determine new criteria regarding surgical or observational treatment, especially concerning the fracture dislocation. Clinical information on 164 consecutive patients with sinus, treated at Department Craniomaxillofacial Surgery Medical University Innsbruck from 2006 2010, have been evaluated. 23 female (14%) 141 male (86%) suffered mainly traffic (31.7%) sports accidents (28.0%), followed by work (20.1%), violence (3.7%) home (3.1%). 51.8% presented an isolated anterior wall, 47.6% both posterior wall fracture, 0.6% fracture. Injury nasofrontal duct was found 29.2%, CSF liquorrhoea 15.9%. In total, 44.5% underwent therapy, 55.5% were conservatively observation. Treatment decision depended significantly concomitant injuries presence rhinoliquorrhoea as well A classification depending their maximum dislocation proposed. addition, algorithm considering displacement, injury presented.
