摘要: Fundamental movement skills (FMS) are foundational and therefore play an important role in the overall development, sport-specific skills, academic achievement of children. The aim study was to determine if a correlation exists between FMS performance 5- 6-year-old preschoolers. An empirical including one pre-primary school Bloemfontein, South Africa, conducted. Five- six-year-old learners (N = 69) with average age 6.10 years (± 0.37) were assessed Kinderkinetics Screening Assessment their abilities. Academic reports, provided by school, used analyse within three learning areas. Statistical analysis (SAS version 9.2.) included descriptive statistics, Pearson analyses associated p values (≤ .05), while following coefficient cut-off used: r ≈ .1 (small), r ≈ .3 (moderate) r ≥ .5 (large). results indicated that static dynamic balancing correlated all areas; these correlations moderate large also statistically significant. Furthermore, it became evident gliding, skipping star jumps especially mathematics, as well as with Home Language Life Orientation. Of areas included, Mathematics revealed most largest significant general. In conclusion, FMS, balance preschoolers correlate significantly performance. Children fundamental stage should be exposed activities balancing, vestibular stimulation, bilateral integration, rhythm spatial orientation.
