Effects of adding Al2O3 on the crystal structure of TiO2 and the performance of Pd-based catalysts supported on the composite for the total oxidation of ethanol

摘要: Abstract TiO 2 , Al O 3 –TiO composites, and Pd-based catalysts have been prepared by sol–gel wet-impregnation methods. N absorption, XRD, Pd dispersion, DRIFTS, XPS, 27 MAS NMR, ethanol oxidation experiments performed to assess the properties of oxides catalysts. The results showed that addition 5 wt.% plays an important role in stabilizing anatase structure preventing phase transformation . This is ascribed formation Al–O–Ti chemical bonds crystals. Meanwhile, dispersion on surface composites effectively promoted. activity Pd/Al for total distinctly higher than Pd/TiO
