摘要: Abstract Five flamelet models for premixed turbulent combustion are described and compared in the case of a one-dimensional flame propagating frozen turbulence. This simple configuration allows ananalytical solution (KPP) to be obtained as devised by Kolmogorov, Petrovski, Piskunov performed Hakberg Gosman [1]. The explicit this analysis provides speed function model parameters turbulence characteristics. These results with experimental data Abdel-Gayed et al. Recent based on direct numerical simulation correctly predict “bending” burning velocity UT RMS u′ well total quenching sufficiently intense It shown that bending effect may without taking into account strain effects laminar velocity. However, no able reproduce all Bradley satisfactory way. reasons these discrepancies discussed.
