摘要: Background: Oral cancer presents with high mortality rates, and the likelihood of survival is remarkably superior when detected early. Health care providers, particularly dentists, play a critical role in early detection oral cancers should be knowledgeable skillful diagnosis. Purpose: The aim present study was to assess current knowledge future Yemeni dentists their opinions on cancer. Materials Methods: A pretested self-administered questionnaire distributed fourth fifth year dental students. Questions relating cancer, risk factors, prevention practices were posed. Results: response rate 80%. vast majority students identified smoking smokeless tobacco as major factors for Most (92.6%) knew that squamous cell carcinoma most common form 85.3% aware tongue floor mouth are likely sites. While showed willingness advise patients only 40% felt adequately trained provide such advice. More than 85% admitted they need further information regarding As expected, final appeared slightly more clinical features disease. Conclusions: findings suggest here reinforce undergraduate curriculum regards education, its detection.
