摘要: The aims of this study were to investigate the knowledge, attitude, and practice dentists in Upper Egypt with regard oral cancer (OC). Out 1,200 licensed dental practitioners list, 424 randomly selected from three governorates (Minia, Assuit, Sohag). sample size was calculated using equation considering knowledge about OC, confidence level, margins error; then, an additional number added guard against nonresponse. Data collected by face-to-face interview 44 items divided into four sections; first part demonstrates sociodemographic. second concerned OC clinical presentation diagnosis (12 multiple-choice questions) as well its risk factors (17 close-end questions). third consists six questions focused on participants, finally, last measures attitude dentists. chi-square test used compare between two or more proportions. A correlation for describing relationship association mutually numerical dependent variables. p < 0.05 considered indicate significance. Rate response 94.3%. overall level current 31.8%. awareness high especially, smoking tobacco alcohol consumption. Also, over 80% identified family history human papillomavirus (HPV) factors. Only 37.5% participants performed regular screening mucosa, 26.5% reported lymph-node examination. Regarding only one quarter attended continuing educating programs OC. statistically significant relation (p 0.0001) most demographic variables detected. There a fair positive (r = 0.47) scores. predominant trouble among regarding practice. Continues education training are highly recommended.
