摘要: Abstract The objective of this study was to assess family physicians' knowledge, opinions and practices regarding oral cancers in the state Maryland, USA. A 40-item, self-administered questionnaire mailed all members Maryland Academy Family Physicians. Unweighted data ( n =240) were analyzed using SAS SUDAAN software; results evaluated an alpha ⩽0.05. physicians (FPs) aware major risk factors for cancers, but misinformation existed about non-risk factors. Approximately 77% asked their patients eight questions related cancer when taking a medical history less than 24% provided examination 40 years age over. Nearly 64% interested continuing education course cancer. This survey identified gaps knowledge among FPs it is encouraging that they expressed interest courses on topic.
