摘要: Inflammation underlies the pathogenesis of some most common cardiovascular diseases. Myocarditis is a relevant clinical cause heart failure, but also provides an excellent laboratory model to study mechanisms inflammation leading failure. The availability different inbred mouse strains for inducing myocarditis using viral or myosin as triggers platform investigation. recent use genetically manipulated models transgenic overexpression knockout knockin targets have provided opportunity pinpoint specific pathways underlying myocarditis. These include involvement both innate and acquired immunity, well role receptors in disease phenotype. permit evaluation therapeutic strategies candidates development.
