摘要: Between 1980 and 1992, 68 patients with clinical indications of involvement the gastrointestinal (Gl) tract metastatic melanoma were treated at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Presenting symptoms anaemia, abdominal pain, nausea vomiting. Sites commonly involved small bowel (75%), large intestine (25%), stomach (16%). Twenty-one considered unsuitable for surgery; their median survival after diagnosis Gl metastases was 2.9 months. Forty-seven underwent effective palliation achieved in most them. Complete resection accomplished 47% patients. The operation 27.6 months complete metastasis no other disease, 5.1 present, 1.9 who had a by-pass procedure only. 5-year evidence disease 28.3%. groups only 1-year survivors. Surgical intervention is justified on basis these findings, extended can be disease.
