摘要: The feasibility of biodiesel production from jatropha (Jatropha curcas) oil was investigated with respect to the blending properties and its oxidation stability antioxidants. JME (jatropha methyl esters) had cetane number 54, cold filter plugging point -2 degrees C, density 881 kg/m(3) at 15 ester content 99.4 wt.%, iodine value 96.55 g I-2/100 g, kinematic viscosity 4.33 mm(2)/s 40 3.86 h. Furthermore, blended palm soybean various weight ratios evaluated for fuel as compared relevant specifications. In addition, several antioxidants concentrations between 100 1000 ppm were studied their potential improve JME. relationship IP (induction period) in measurement associated antioxidant consumption described by first-order reaction rate kinetics. Moreover, (natural logarithm IP) pyrogallol showed a linear test temperature. ambient temperatures predicted on basis an extrapolation temperature-dependent relationship. (C) 2011 Elsevier Ltd.
