摘要: Abstract The feasibility of biodiesel production from tung ( Vernicia montana ) oil was investigated with respect to the transesterification yield and properties. Tung has poor oxidation stability due instability conjugated carbon–carbon double bonds in α-elaeostearic acid. methyl elaeostearate is predominant component (82.2 wt.%) biodiesel. low cold filter plugging point −11 °C, ester content 94.9 wt.%, (110 °C) 0.3 h. Moreover, exhibits high density 903 kg/m 3 at 15 °C, kinematic viscosity 7.84 mm 2 /s 40 °C, iodine value 161.1 g I /100 g. properties can be improved by blending canola palm biodiesels satisfy specifications. In addition, multiple linear correlations between its composition were established.
