摘要: In the UK, most marine benthic monitoring is carried out in a piecemeal fashion, funded by different sectors of industry that utilise environment under licence. Monitoring requirements are imposed licence conditions, which can vary considerably between licences. The UK Government also conducts environmental surveys support its legislative commitments. present investigation reviews these approaches to highlight whether synergies them could be developed into an integrated approach monitoring. An would have ecological benefits, as greater consistency sampling and analytical protocols reduce uncertainty predictions impact, facilitate assessment Good Environmental Status Marine Strategy Framework Directive. same financial benefit, spatio-temporal duplication reduced, value acquired data maximised, resulting more efficient cost-effective approach.
