摘要: Low level laser therapy (LLLT) has been noted to be effective in mitigating the development of oral mucositis among patients being treated with chemoradiation for cancers head and neck. To explain biological basis this observation we performed a comprehensive literature search. Our investigation identified substantial number LLLT-activated pathways that have strongly associated negative tumor outcomes including proliferation, invasion, angiogenesis, metastases cancer-treatment resistance. In light these findings, suggest an investigational strategy assure LLLT’s anti-mucositis efficacy is independent its possible potential enhance threatening behaviors. Included are appropriate pre-clinical modeling, short- long-term follow-up LLLT-treated patients, requirement consistency LLLT parameters.
