摘要: Changes to native fish assemblages in lakes are commonly associated with introduced predatory fishes. How change as multiple species is not well understood. This study investigated the relationship between presence of large-bodied fishes (largemouth bass Micropterus salmoides, pike Esox lucius, rock Ambloplites rupestris, smallmouth dolomieu, walleye Sander vitreus) and composition littoral areas 40 Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada. Fish were compared across different predator composition, within before after recent invasions. The an was significantly lakes, controlling for environmental spatial variables. Native did vary more than one species. Furthermore, while declines richness over time observed a number these introductions additional predators. Several small-bodied (brook stickleback Culea inconstans, fathead minnow Pimephales promelas, finescale dace Chrosomus neogaeus, northern redbelly eos) consistently showed strong negative correlations presence. The results suggest that alter this impact consistent regardless introduced. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd Her Majesty Queen Right
