摘要: This study investigated the role of antioxidant system Alyssum markgrafii, during long-term exposure to 0.5 or 1 mM NiCl2 × 6H2O in vitro. Applied methodology included sample preparation protocol which reduces oxidation key metabolites along with novel luminescent method and well-established photometric procedures. During 5-week treatments, plants accumulated 1121 2470 ppm Ni2+ respectively, followed by severe growth retardation, chlorophyll degradation peroxidation lipids. These effects were more pronounced after treatment additionally accompanied increased water loss. Activities luminol-converting peroxidases glutathione reductase upon 0.5 mM while catalase superoxide dismutase diminished. The fact that these two groups enzymes run antiparallel might suggest functional redistribution between rather than orchestrated action prevent oxidative damage. Total capacity (TAC) was also coincided GR activity elevated content indicating this low molecular weight as an important factor associated nickel tolerance. emphasizes possible hyperaccumulation, although they are not considered sensu stricto since some them can produce reactive oxygen species well.
