摘要: It is becoming increasingly evident that interspecific hybridization a common event in phytophthora evolution. Yet, the fundamental processes underlying and consequences for its ecological fitness distribution are not well understood. We studied events clade 8b. This cold-tolerant group of plant pathogenic oomycetes which six host-specific species have been described mostly attack winter-grown vegetables. Hybrid characterization was done by sequencing cloning two nuclear (ITS Ypt1) mitochondrial loci (Cox1 Nadh1) combined with DNA content estimation using flow cytometry. Three different mtDNA haplotypes were recovered among presumed hybrid isolates, dividing hybrids into three types, parental involved. In genes, additivity, i.e. presence alleles coming from parents, detected. isolates showed large variations content, positively correlated additivity loci, indicating allopolyploid followed process diploidization. Moreover, indications homeologous recombination found ITS products. The isolated range hosts reported previously 8b species, they novel potential. Next to this, measurements non-hybrid suggest polyploidy feature this clade. hypothesize linked phenomena phytophthora, these might play an important ongoing role evolution genus.
