摘要: Anxiety experienced in the course of learning a foreign language is specific and unique (Horwitz et al., 1986; MacIntyre & Gardner, 1989). This paper reports study on anxiety Chinese undergraduate non-English majors at three different proficiency levels three-week immersion summer camp. By way survey, interviews, reflective journals observations, this research seeks to investigate relationship between native-speaking teacher’s teaching extracurricular activities an Specifically, it tries explore that (1) whether considerable number students each level felt anxious when speaking teachers volunteers out classroom camp setting, (2) more proficient tend be less (3) they learn English western cultures not for any examination. Based findings, some suggestions future are proposed.
