摘要: Because of changes in the society, couples Western countries are increasingly delaying reproduction. This is accompanied by unhealthy lifestyles that may be detrimental not only to general health but also reproductive capacity. It well known maternal age has effects on fertility; paternal influence this outcome largely unknown. study aims investigate associations between a below 60 years, lifestyles, and sperm quality. In periconceptional prospective cohort we included 227 men undergoing vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic injection (ICSI) treatment. Age at collection, cause subfertility, ethnicity, DNA fragmentation index (DFI; as marker damage), parameters were determined. Linear regression analyses showed positive association rising from 26 59 years DFI (P ≤ .01) an inverse with ejaculate volume .05). Inverse determined all conventional (all P .01). There no smoking, alcohol use, body mass index, parameters. Dutch compared migrants, however, higher .05) independent lifestyles. We conclude trend fatherhood IVF ICSI treatment
