摘要: Abstract Two peculiar characteristics of the VAN method short-term earthquake prediction are: (1) existence sensitive and insensitive sites to seismic electric signal (SES) (2) selective sensitivity a station SES from specific focal area(s). The process their discovery, which so far has not been published adequately, is examined for Ioannina (IOA) station. site was discovered simply through repeatedly moving temporary observation network. selectivity map IOA made by first identifying source areas with SESs were considered have detected at IOA, second examining direction different such areas.
