A Critical Review of Van: Earthquake Prediction From Seismic Electrical Signals

摘要: This book summarises the proceedings of meeting A CRITICAL REVIEW OF VAN, held jointly by International Council Scientific Unions (ICSU) and Royal Society at Societys London premises on 11-12 May 1995. It was attended ICSUs Executive Director, Julia Marton-Lefevre, Treasurer, John Horlock, 38 other participants from 9 different countries. I presided over this in my capacity as Chairman Special Committee for IDNDR (the UN-designated Decade Natural Disaster Reduction, 1990-99). began thanking its greatly appreciated offer to be a neutral venue-a highly distinguished venue-for small but select scientific (with attendance invitation only) devoted entirely just one single subject: VAN. The VAN approach earthquake prediction named initial letters sumames originators (professor P. Varotsos, K. Alexopoulos Nomicos) all whom had accepted invitations meeting-although end ill health sadly prevented Professor attending.
