Vesicular–arbuscular mycorrhizas and the soil‐disturbance‐induced reduction of nutrient absorption in maize

摘要: summary In previously reported studies, maize seedlings absorbed more phosphorus (P) from soil in a long-term zero-till system than the same after disturbance. This partly resulted greater vesicular-arbuscular (VA) mycorrhizal infection undisturbed soil. In study herein, growth room experiment was conducted to determine how long must remain before subsequent disturbance will reduce P absorption. Starting with disturbed soil, grown for 3-week cycles. At conclusion of each cycle, half pots were and replanted whereas other without disturbing. Over three cycles, major increases plants observed concurrently nutrient absorption. A significant increase absorption occurred first cycle on second third. 21 d third had almost twice dry weight higher concentrations N, P, Mg, Cu Zn shoots. Absorption between 14 10 times larger that larger. Mg shoot intensity VA as early planting. There concurrent rapid by over cycles when an initially left undisturbed. development, particularly starting provides good evidence reduces hence maize.
