摘要: Abstract Acmella oleracea (jambu) is a South American plant whose pharmacological properties include antimalarial, anesthetic, and anti-inflammatory activities. However, the compounds contributing to effect have received little attention. In this study, active compound spilanthol was isolated using Green Chemistry approach presented significant activity in lipopolysaccharide-activated human neutrophil model. First, aerial parts of jambu were extracted fractionated supercritical carbon dioxide. The spilanthol-enriched fractions obtained then subjected further purification by flash chromatography, yielding with 97% purity. Use enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) revealed reduction release Interleukin-8 Tumor Necrosis Factor - alpha leukocytes exposed spilanthol. conclusion, new enabled be at high purity, fairly rapid procedure, while results vitro study indicated that could promising therapeutic agent.
