摘要: Abstract Results of recent studies showing the utility medaka as a model various human disease states were presented at 7th Aquatic Models Human Disease Conference (December 13-18, 2014, Austin, TX). This conference brought together many most highly regarded national and international scientists that employ in their investigations. To take advantage this opportunity, cohort established researchers asked to stay an extra day represent scientific community workshop entitled “The Medaka Model for Comparative Assessment Mechanisms.” The central purpose was assess current use project future resource needs American research community. sought spur discussions issues would promote more informative comparative studies. Finally, attendees met propose, discuss, agree on recommendations regarding effective resources needed enable US perform experiments leading impacting experimental results directly translate disease. Consistent with purpose, divided into two sessions invited speakers having expertise experience session topics. hosted 20 participants (Appendices 1 2), these, nine formal talks. Here, we present summary report stemming from presentations subsequent round table forward group believe views overall
