Prevalência de síndrome metabólica em idosos de uma comunidade: comparação entre três métodos diagnósticos

摘要: FUNDAMENTO: prevalencia de sindrome metabolico (SM), evidenciada en diferentes estudios, ha presentado amplia variacion dependiendo la poblacion y del criterio diagnostico utilizado, habiendo una tendencia mayor SM segun el International Diabetes Federation (IDF). OBJETIVO: Comparar con criterios adultos mayores comunidad. METODOS Este es un estudio transversal, base poblacional, realizado ciudad Novo Hamburgo - RS, Brasil -, que participaron 378 60 anos o mas (252 mujeres 126 varones). La se estimo al aplicar los diagnosticos National Cholesterol Education Program Adult Treatment Panel III (NCEP ATPIII) (2001), NCEP ATPIII revisado (2005) IDF. RESULTADOS: aumento progresivamente utilizacion ATP III, IDF, presentando valores 50,3%, 53,4% 56,9%, respectivamente. El progresivo tres ocurrio ambos sexos, entre las mujeres, porcentajes 57,1%, 59,9% 63,5% CONCLUSION: Al utilizar pudo encontrar relacion a encontrada revisado. fue independientemente utilizado.
