摘要: The shear and peel stress distributions in a scarf joint made of two isotropic adherends with blunt adherend tips are analysed using linear elastic analysis. limits the analysis respect to tip thickness have been investigated. A finite difference method is used solve differential equations for over joint. boundary conditions limit having same thicknesses, lengths, material properties. modelled as plates extensional bending stiffnesses bonded together an interlayer. stresses across adhesive layer assumed be constant. current applied cases known from literature shows good agreement but overestimated.
