摘要: To assess the effects of pre-analytical handling (storage time and temperature) on selected hematological parameters, whole blood samples were collected in EDTA coated tubes from each 30 clinically normal male adult beagle dogs. Each sample was separated 2 aliquots, which one stored ambient temperature (25 ˚C) other refrigerated (2 to 4 ˚C). Complete counts performed 1, 2.5, 5, 12, 24, 36 60 hr post-sampling for aliquot every using a flow cytometer. Packed cell volume values remained stable kept room (RT), whereas significant increase noted ones 24 post-sampling. Statistically increases red after 24hr ˚C 12 those RT. No changes observed haemoglobin concentration. A decrease evident only white cells RT, but not ˚C. Platelet significantly decreased aliquots 5 The results this study indicate that storage up is associated with least artifactual changes.
