摘要: Background Identification of molecular markers in pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PA) has the potential to guide targeted therapy. The objective this study is determine prognostic significance epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) expression (membrane and cytoplasmic) resected PA its correlation with lymph node metastasis survival. Methods EGFR overexpression was determined by immunohistochemistry, pattern compared between primary tumour, adjacent normal pancreas involved nodes. Results A total 88 patients had curative resection. No difference found mEGFR tumoural metastatic nodal tissues (P = 0.28). Median overall survival time 22.9 months. Overall cumulative 1-, 3- 5-year 48%, 20% 18%, respectively. In positive tumour expression, 46% at 1 year, 8% 3 years 0% 5 < 0.05). Univariate analysis showed that male gender, portal vein (PV) resection, perineural, lymphovascular peri-pancreatic invasion, margins tissue worse survival. Multivariate PV vascular perineural invasion remained independent predictors poor survival. Conclusion Positive associated decreased survival; however, it not an factor.
