Our objective was to develop a 3D sequence for at 3T using variable flip angle transition into driven equilibrium (T2 -TIDE) scheme.Methods3D -TIDE uses interleaved spiral-out phase encode ordering efficiently sample ky -kz encodes and also transient balanced steady-state free precession signal acquire center k-space imaging. Bloch simulations images from 10 healthy subjects were acquired evaluate performance compared FSE.Results3D in 2:54 minutes 7:02 FSE with identical parameters. The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) efficiency significantly higher nearly all tissues, including periprostatic fat (45 ± 12 vs. 31 7, P l 0.01), gluteal (48 8 41 10, = 0.12), right peripheral zone (20 4 16 8, left (17 2 3, anterior fibromuscular stroma (12 2, 0.01).Conclusion3D can be quickly SNR that exceeds FSE.
