R-matrix calculation of the continuum states of carbon monoxide

摘要: Calculations on electron collisions with CO + molecular ion are presented as a function of energy and geometry. Resonance positions widths obtained for the low-lying Feshbach resonances in system. Plots resonance curves suggest that low-energy dissociative recombination can occur via 1 �, 3 � symmetries. Electron impact electronic excitation is considered both to first excited A 2 state yield dissociation cross section. The latter calculations lower two experimental measurements this process likely be correct. Finally results bound states continuum − (Some figures article colour only version)
