Interactions between nuclear factors and the hepatitis B virus enhancer.

摘要: Abstract We have previously established that the tissue-specific activity of hepatitis B virus (HBV) enhancer is mediated by trans-acting cellular factors. Here we studied in vitro interactions between HBV DNA and factors present nuclear extracts from both liver nonliver cell types. The results presented this study imply involvement several distinct, ubiquitous, liver-specific with enhancer. Sequence analysis binding sites for these proteins on showed homologies to sequence motifs known bind other characterized purified transcription including CAAT/enhancer-binding protein. Thus, all may function concert activate genes their respective promoters.
