摘要: One of the key challenges facing realization functional nanocrystal devices concerns development techniques for depositing colloidal nanocrystals into electrically coupled nanoparticle solids. This work compares several alternative strategies assembly such films using an all-optical approach to characterization electron transport phenomena. By measuring excited carrier lifetimes in either ligand-linked or matrix-encapsulated PbS containing a tunable fraction insulating ZnS domains, we uniquely distinguish dynamics charge scattering on defects from other processes exciton dissociation. The measured times are subsequently used estimate diffusion length and mobility each film type within hopping regime.
