摘要: Abstract Respiratory muscle fatigue after prolonged mechanical ventilation of the lungs is a common occurrence. This probably due to disuse atrophy. The standard technique used overcome this problem gradually wean patient from respirator over course several days or weeks. Hypothesis: based on experience with rehabilitation skeletal muscles during long-term immobilisation extremities following trauma surgery and diaphragm pacing in quadriplegics, intermittent electrical magenetic stimulation while are still being mechanically ventilated may be beneficial. result such would preserve dysfunctioning Consequences: dependence respirator, length intubation time, risk complications stay ICU considerably reduced.
