摘要: Objective To define a basket of foods that could be used to monitor trends in the affordability healthy food Illawarra region. Design A reference family five was defined reflecting population draft selected based on recommendations Australian Guide Healthy Eating (AGHE), and using information typical eating patterns from 1995 National Nutrition Survey data local supermarket sales. Products were chosen conform where possible Heart Foundation guidelines for acceptability Pick Tick approval program. Seven day menus devised each member analysed nutrient content compared Recommended Dietary Intakes (RDI), conformance with quantified targets related Guidelines Australians. The final quantities include Food Basket (IHFB) calculated menus, estimates edible portion composition tables. Main outcome measures Nutritional adequacy as determined by comparison recommended numbers serves AGHE, RDIs other Results 57 (44 core 13 extra items) conformed dietary guidelines, provided at least 95% energy requirements, exceeded intakes protein, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin C, A, potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, zinc fibre all members familywith exception 65 year old female (94% RDI). sodium upper 27%. items make up 6.2% total mass contribute 19% energy.
