摘要: In this study, a cDNA, GhMADS14, encoding typical MADS-box protein with 223 amino acids was isolated from cotton cDNA library. Fluorescent microscopy indicated that the GhMADS14 localized in cell nucleus. specifically expressed elongating fibers, and its expression gradually enhanced at early stages of fiber elongation reached peak 9-10 DPA fibers. Overexpression Arabidopsis hindered plant growth. Measurement statistical analysis revealed hypocotyl length transgenic seedlings significantly reduced, height mature plants remarkably less than wild type. Furthermore, GA 20-oxidase (AtGA20ox1 AtGA20ox2) 3-oxidase (AtGA3ox1 AtGA3ox2) genes whereas AtGA2ox1 AtGA2ox8 were dramatically up-regulated plants, compared These results suggested overexpression may alter levels related to biosynthetic metabolic pathways, resulting reduction endogenous amounts cells. As result, grew slowly display GA-deficient phenotype.
