摘要: NAC proteins that compose of one large family plant specific transcription factors (TF) play the important roles in many biological processes (such as morphogenesis, development, senescence and stress signal transduction). In this study, a gene (designated GhXND1) encoding factor was identified cotton. Sequence analysis indicated GhXND1 contains two introns inserted its open reading frame (ORF). protein is localized cell nucleus, displays transactivation activity. transcripts were mainly detected cotyledons, petals, roots, hypocotyls stems, but little or no signals expression found other tissues. Ectopic Arabidopsis resulted reduction number xylem vessel cells wall thickness interfascicular fibers transgenic plants, compared with those wild type. And some biosynthesis-related genes down-regulated plants. Collectively, data presented study suggested may be involved regulation development.
