摘要: Abstract The continuous growth of poultry industry results in an increased amount waste provided from both production facilities and processing plants. meat massive quantities solid as feathers, viscera, bones, dead on arrival. use enzymes for bioconversion such byproducts into materials with value is interesting strategy. Enzymes can be useful to convert feed fertilizers. hydrolysis animal also generate bioactive peptides, which are important molecules that may exert physiological effects vivo, antioxidant, angiotensin-I converting enzyme (ACE)-inhibitory dipeptidyl peptidase-IV (DPP-IV)-inhibitory activities. Thus, byproduct hydrolysates show potential functional ingredients. This review presents overview microbial waste, proteases, lipases, combined preparations and, especially, keratinases feathers. A discussion about production, purification properties presented. Main areas further studies large scale keratinases, development effective processes waste.
