摘要: Respiratory symptoms are largely caused by obstruction of the airways. In asthma, airway narrowing mediated smooth muscle (ASM) contraction contributes significantly to obstruction. The spasmogens produced following exposure environmental triggers, such as viruses or allergens, initially responsible for ASM activation. However, extent lumen due shortening can be influenced many factors and it remains a real challenge decipher exact role in causing asthmatic symptoms. Innovative tools, forced oscillation technique, continue develop have been proven useful assess some features function vivo. Despite these technologic advances, is still not clear whether excessive asthma driven abnormalities, other alterations non-muscle simply because overexpression spasmogens. This multitude forces acting on wall, only constantly changing but they also intricately interconnected. To counteract limitations, investigators utilized vitro ex vivo systems compare non-asthmatic contractility. review describes: 1- that altered may lead symptoms; 2- technologies technique potential unveil vivo; 3- data from methods probe possibility hyperresponsiveness environment surrounding or, alternatively, hypercontractile phenotype either innate acquired.
