摘要: IN the purification of potato phosphorylase1 by ethanol precipitation2, it has been found that conditions established for a particular variety potato, harvested at time year, are not generally applicable to other potatoes, even though these may contain as much enzyme. This is because solubility enzyme affected its association with constituents, nature and quantity which vary type season. Since, in spite this association, always able react substrate, was thought formation substrate complex might be utilized free from complexing molecules. Preliminary experiments precipitation phosphorylase carried out presence glucose-1-phosphate did not, however, show any appreciable change These were pursued further after had co-substrate, amylose, results strong selective concentration otherwise soluble2, least thousandfold respect protein. The accompanied precipitate Q-enzyme potato3. enzymes readily extracted can then precipitated solution ammonium sulphate crystalline form.
