摘要: Abstract We reported previously that 7-hydroperoxycholesterols, 7α- and 7β-hydroperoxycholest-5-en-3β-ol (7α-OOH 7β-OOH), indicated lipid peroxidation [1] . In the present study, we measured not only 7-hydroperoxycholesterols but also oxysterols (7α- 7β-hydroxycholesterol, 7α-OH, 7β-OH) 3β-hydroxycholest-5-en-7-one (7-keto) in brains of rats underwent either a sham operation (control), hypoxia, or CO inhalation (1005 ppm) at 37°C for 90 min followed by 48 h recovery. The levels 7β-OH, 7-keto were low hypoxia group, while unaltered group compared with controls. Among three groups inhalation, these high hyperthermia (39°C), hypothermia (32°C), control group. blood O 2 saturation was almost normal it similarly normothermia groups. temperature-dependent brain after recovery can be explained due to CO-hemoglobin formation, may contribute delayed neuronal death following inhalation. Hypothermia applicable treat patients
